Thyme has a mucus-releasing effect and it can be used to various respiratory problems and coughs on horses.

Thyme is antibacterial, so it reduces the bacteria in the body. It can also be used to trigger gastrointestinal spasms and increase urinary excretion. Thyme exhorts digestion and prevents colic. Therefore it is a suitable treatment for example excessive gas formation.

Thyme can be used to treat various fungal and inflammatory conditions such as laryngeal and laryngeal support for both internally and externally.

Thyme can also be used as a pancreatic suppressor for the treatment of medicinal herpes. In this case, dosing to the horse 20-30 g per day, for dogs 1/3 amount.

Externally the plant can be treated eg. wounds and skin infections and itchy skin. The active ingredients are essential oils, flavonoids, saponins, caries and vitamins A, E and K.
