Gastro+ is a high-quality pelleted complementary feed for horses and ponies. It is particularly suitable for diets where emphasis is placed on a stomach-friendly composition, a high fibre content and a balanced intake of nutrients. Gastro+ is designed as part of the horse's daily feeding programme and provides a broad range of nutrients alongside water and forage.

Gastro+ combines sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, magnesium and a probiotic. The feed is high in fibre and contains omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in a balanced ratio. The added fats also provide a source of slow-release energy.

Gastro+ contains less grain and therefore less starch than many conventional concentrate feeds. Thanks to its high-fibre composition, it is well suited to feeding programmes where a high fibre intake is prioritised.

The recommended initial feeding period with Gastro+ is 8–12 weeks. After this period, if desired, up to 50% of the concentrate feed can be replaced with another concentrate, for example to increase the energy content of the ration.

COMPOSITION

Wheat bran, lucerne (15%), sunflower seed meal, soya bean hulls*, oat hulls, cane molasses, maize*, extruded soya beans, vegetable oil and fat (soya*), heat-treated maize, calcium carbonate, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate (0.5%), vegetable oil and fat (palm), vegetable oil and fat (linseed) (0.3%), magnesium oxide (0.15%), monocalcium phosphate, fatty acid distillates from physical refining (palm).

* Produced from genetically modified soya or maize.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATION

• For maintenance and light work: 0.2–0.5 kg / 100 kg body weight
• For hard work and competition horses: 0.5–0.75 kg / 100 kg body weight

Divide the daily ration into at least 2–3 meals.
