Sprenger Trotting Max-Control double jointed bit

The Sprenger Trotting MAX-Control bit does not differ much in appearance from regular double-jointed bits. However, its special feature is that it can lock into a straight bar! When the driver applies a stronger rein aid or when the horse pulls heavily, the bit momentarily locks straight and functions as a so-called mullen mouth bit. This effect appears smoothly but allows precise communication with the horse. When the horse yields again, the locking effect stops immediately. For this reason, the Trotting MAX-Control bit is excellently suited as a training bit. The double-jointed MAX-Control bit is made of stainless steel. It is suitable as a training and competition bit and can also be used for horses with sensitive mouths as well as for drivers with a sensitive hand. The bit thickness is 16 mm, except for the smallest size (115), which is 14 mm.
